Once you enter the Via della Casa al Vento, continue on this road for circa 300 m until you reach a stone house with a very short uphill stretch of unpaved road on your left – drive up this short hill and Il Fornaccio will be in front of you.

For those without a car
By train get off at the Florence station of S. Maria Novella, and take a regional train for Borgo San Lorenzo that stops at the station of Fiesole/Caldine. When you arrive there phone il Fornaccio for pick-up (to arrange ahead of time).
By bus (bus company Sita www.sita.on-line.it) from the bus station in Via S. Caterina da Siena, 50 meters from the train station of S. Maria Novella. Take the bus for Borgo San Lorenzo (Via Polcanto) and get off at the "Olmo" stop. Then follow Via Casa al Vento following signs for Vaglia Bivigliano. Via di Campolungo is the first neighborhood on the left (about 700 meters from the intersection). Alternatively one can arrange for pick-up service at the bus stop, calling il Fornaccio (by pre-arrangement).
